Christmas Break

I have been pretty busy with Family stuff the past week, not to mention work has been absurd. I been finding myself unwilling to log on for any reason what-so-ever.

In the past week I logged on once for limbus and about 3-4 times to do some synthing. We did a Temenos zone yesterday, first tier.

I did however go 3/4 on skill up synthes for Goldsmithing. So I managed to ding 94 GS. Pretty exciting.

NOTHING!

I really been lacking on even signing on lately. Been working late alot trying to get stuff done before the holidays. Pretty much all I been able to do is sign on for Limbus and sign on a few minutes for a few skill up synthes.

Omega: Popped Omega on Monday. 2 Head drops. Fucking retarded. I am so close to just giving up on my Homam Legs. Its like my single most wanted piece of gear right now, and I feel like its never going to come. Think its like 3 months w/o a legs drop. Believe I got my Body about 6-7 months ago...

.3 away from a skill up on my Goldsmithing. I may do some more rings to hit it quicker.

Omega Ring!

Picked up this beauty!



Finally got this for my BRD. Pretty excited to finally get it.

I got .4 on my Goldsmithing. Starting to come along. Slowly but surely. The demand for Scintillant Ingots seemed to increase so my skill up synthes are now profit. Making about 5k per, not much, but being in the green is better then being in the red.

Dinged 34 on my DRG.


Not much else really. HNMS and Limbus. Pretty much all I do.

93 Goldsmithing, but thats about it

Dinged 93 Goldsmithing. I think if I stick to this routine, I will be in good shape. A few synthes here and there and that last level actually only cost me 50k.

Did Omega Monday. 2 Hands dropped. Still a good deal even though legs didnt drop.

Got a Tiamat and a few Ixions. Still 500 ampoules from having Omega ring.

I dinged 60 on my Smithing. Feels good to have my top 3 sub crafts finished. I think Woodworking is next for me.

I also found out I didnt need 80k Allied notes for my last piece of Iron Ram gear, I only needed 50k. So I got this beaut.



Another small goal of mine that I accomplished was I finished my last "Last Resort Recast" merit. Also got 2nd Souleater recast upgrade.

Killed Proto-Ultima today. I am now 2nd total points and 2nd in line for homam legs....141 and counting.

Homam legs only thing I hope/expecting to get reatiely soon. Think I am going back to making money. Though I would really like to have my drk fully merited. only 6 upgrades away. 260K exp away!

First my crafting highlights:

7 lvls Clothcraft Capped sub at 60.
12 lvls Bonecraft Basically got bored and found break even synthes.

Bought a Nobles Tunic for my WHM mule. Also traded in his Rajas for a Tamas. (Don't be mad cmdr! You can trade it back in after 30 days if you come back) Finally getting this geared up to be helpful.

Dinged 30 DRG. 7 lvls since my last update.

Been getting a few HNMs, blah blah blah cant remember.

Killed Dynamis Lord for my first time.

Obtained Wings of Integrity. Now 10k Allied Notes from picking up my last Iron Ram ra/ex piece for my PLD.

Killed Omega last Monday. Body Hands Head. Pretty decent drop, welcomed it...but alas no legs so I was bummed. We should finish up an Ultima pop set tomorrow that we will try and pop next week.

More Dark Ixion

We have got the past 4 Dark Ixion. I officially hate this fight. My LS has taken from 1.5 hrs-3.5 hrs to kill it. Not sure how long other LS's take, but I have a feeling its a decent amount less. We seem to not be counter camped at all, so I imagine we will keep going until faf gets to our window.

I uncursed my hecatomb cap. Nice boost for my DRK/WAR.

Managed to get my DRG to 23. 10 lvls in a week, I'll take it. I have been thinking about exping it past 37. If I do, it will primarily be my colibri merit job. I already have alot of above average gear for an end-game DRG, so equiping it should not be a problem.

We killed 2 Jailer of Justices. Got drop on 1. I was bummed at first because I spent a good chunk of my points on fafnir drops. But regardless I would not have been able to win. One day, it will be mine.

I decided there are only 6 items I will spend points on now.

I am getting really close to being finished up with gearing my jobs up with buyable gear. My PLD is lacking resist builds and my DRK needs a few more pieces for its zerg build. I wont start on my PLD resist builds for fire or earth until I pick up w.feet or w.legs respectively.

I havent really done anything to advance my character besides exp my DRG to 20 and buy one of these.



Here soon I will put my DRK Zerg build on this site. It is getting wrapped up. Think I should have it finished up here in a month or so.

Got alot of new kills on my list. Sarameya, Cerberus, Lambton Worm, Dark Ixion. Lots of camping means lots of points so that is good.

I plan on buying materials for cursed cap so I can uncursed my N.Head this week.

It has happened!



After countless Dyanamis - Sandy runs, I finally picked this up.

This is one of the few pieces that I planned on upgrading on my BRD. I am down to 3 more pieces I plan on upgrading for the BRD; Omega Ring, Musical Earring, Loquacious Earring.

What this did for me is make it so I dont need any items except from Dreamlands or Xarcabard.

Not sure our plans for the next few weeks but I have got enough to satisfy me for a little while.

New focus:

DRK zerg build. I bought one of these:



3.8 mil. Put a little dent in my pocket book. I intend on spending alot of gil to round out my build. I have a good start on a pretty good build. Really, for it to be a good build, I need, need, need Homam Legs. 120+ points and counting, and im still 2nd in line. Our drop rate on legs is crazy stupid.

Making gil is new priority.

Crafting mostly

Obtained Mythril wings of Service.

Dinged 52 Clothcraft. Went from 36-52 in 2 days. Not too shabby.

I FINALLY started the rest of my long road to 100 Goldsmithing. I sythed some Scintillant ingots. They are pretty expensive and dont sell very often so my plan of action is to keep 2 on the AH at all times and eventually I will get levels. This will take me to 98.

I am currently 140,770 Guild Points. Hopefully the FFXI gods are nice and make nice GP items for me to finish off my last 9230 points I need.

Had another disappointing Dynamis-Sandy. I cant believe the amount of times BRD relic hat has not dropped.

Limbus: We may do Omega today, who knows. It may wait till Thursday.

Did KS99 Turtle Thursday. Finished off a couple more Black Belts. I really should try and get MNK lvled. Pretty easy to gear up with the exception of Salvage gear.

I am continually making pretty good money. Everything that I am interested in buying is over priced so I think im just going to just wait it out and try and get some of my sub crafts taken care of.

FINALLY, Done with AF+1 upgrades.

Well it was 4-5 months since I got my Brown Doeskin, but I finally got my coiled yarn I needed to finish my BRD AF+1 pants. Very very happy I finally got this. This will allow me to get rid of my:

I think picking up these legs will make me need to make a couple gear changes. I will be lacking a little bit in the CHR department. Probably get +CHR rings instead of the trumpet rings.

Besides that, looks like I am still #2 on the Homam Legs list. God will I be glad to pick that piece up.

Did KS99 last night and got a Speed Belt to drop. Alas not mine, but still the first one I have ever seen drop.

Sea:
We did some Sea this week, got temperance torque to drop.


We are doing Dynamis-Glacier tonight. No pieces I really want from here. I hope we have some cool stuff to do this weekend. I am starting to get a decent amount of points to work with again. Hopefully I pick up somthing pretty damn cool soon.

Still sitting at 20 floors completed on Nyzul. Really need to get crackin on that.

Currently at 120k Guild Points. Need 30k more! Getting close!

Also only need 2 more einerjars to get Cmdrfly one of the items, and 3-4 more for my Omega Ring.

I also been working on unlocking Eviseration. I am pretty close, but I havent had much time to do it.

Back from vacation.

Well I am back from vacation. I havent posted anything in damn near 3 weeks. I got married and went on my honeymoon. I havent been playing much due to those issues. I will probably be chilling on my play time for a little bit so I can chill out a bit and get my new life with my wife settled. Ill still be around and doing stuff, just not in the amount that I was.

Only real news is I dinged 26 on clothcraft. yay i guess.

Crafting, again. Nyzul.

Not really much to write about. I have just been crafting and making money. Got my smithing to 53. 7 more lvls to cap. Think I am going to stop for now.

We have been pretty free on time in the HNM LS. Leaders have been gone due to some RL stuff.

However I have tried to be around for some Nyzul stuff. I got my disk up to lvl 11. I hope this continues to progress, really want a runic key.

Goldsmithing is going to take a back seat for awhile. I want to be on cruise control and just horde gil. Been kind of nice with Ancient beastcoins lately. Been bazaaring them for 10k a pop and it only costs 15k to get into limbus. Limbus has turned into quite a nice little money maker for me. Sold 23 this morning for over 150k profit.

92 Goldsmithing

Crafting:
I decided out of the blue, that I wanted to craft. Bought 2 stacks of Gold ingots and started crafting. Went 0-3, then went 6-6! I was stoked. 90-->91 sucked, I went through 4+ stacks of gold ingots, then I turn around and go 91-->92 using only 19 gold ingots. Now the problem is, I am capped on muscle belts. I want to sign myself a Koenig Shield, but other then that, I am not sure what I am going to skill up on.


Dynamis:
Did Jueno last friday and Glacier Tuesday. I won 100 coin drop again on Jeuno. I also picked this up last night.



I of course, dont have Corsair leveled. Looks like a pretty nice piece regardless, so I will hold onto it, on the off chance I may lvl it.

lolHomam Head + More

Limbus:

We got phenominal drops on Omega. Legs, Body, Head. Anytime we get 2+ of a Legs, Hands, Body combo, I consider it a good day. I picked up Homam Head for 3 points. Too bad I will never wear it for anything. Glad we got legs, 1 more out of the way before I can get mine, I am currently 2nd in line now. Kets got the body drop, and is now has full homam. He is our first person with full Homam. I am now 4/5 homam with 93 points, cant wait to finish up my needs in Limbus.



Dynamis:

Did Jeuno on Tuesday. I got 100 coin so I got my gil due to me. Not much else.

Crafting:

I decided to put the gil from 100 coin towards getting 91 Goldsmithing. At the end of the day, I took 26 synthes to get .5. Kind of sucked. So now I am 91 Goldsmithing. That level blew, spent over 1 mil to get that lvl. I have 1 more lvl of a relatively easy synthe to get mats for and such. 92+ is going to be a very slow grueling process. GP items have sucked. I may do todays regardless since its 7.5k GP. If I do todays, Ill have 88k GP. 62k more to go!

Nidhogg and other fun stuff

HNM:
Got a fafnir and Niddhogg since my last post. Cant remember drops on Faf but Nid dropped A.Body and M.Body. M.body went for minimum points and A.Body went for 175. Pretty fucking cheap for our first A.Body.

ZNM:

Popped Tinnin. Was a pretty fun fight. I went BRD and get resisted to hell on elegy. Drove me to pick up an HQ earth staff....again. Perhaps I will just keep this one. Anyways, Enkidus Harness and a staff that has +10 INT,MND, CHR and +20 magic acc. ZNM is currently my highest point of interest. Taking pictues for them is pretty boring, but the fights are a nice change of pace. Its too easy not to do. Aurum Sabotans will be mine!!! 0/1 so far.

Ouryu:

Popped somones cloud evoker. We cut it close at 58 minutes. Didnt have exactly the setup we wanted, but made it work.

Limbus:

We decided to low man a couple zones. 5 person manaburn party to kings, and a 6 person melee burn type party for sphinxes. Kings went down with out a hitch, however sphinses was a totaly different story. We wiped do to some bad pulls and only having BRD sleepga on the first floor. (RDM was /WHM) While trying to recover our NIN d/c ed and we waited for 5 minutes and he didnt come back, so we went ahead and went up. Long story, short, we ended up getting the win with 5 people and no tank.

Update is tonight. I assume we will not be doing Omega as planned. Pretty bummed. I am creeping up on 100 points. I want my Homam Legs.

Crafting, and...Nothing

Crafting:
Got .2 Goldsmithing, 1.? Smithing, 1.? Clothcraft. I really cant remember on my smithing and clothcraft, but I got skill ups. The 2/17 skill ups on Golsmithing made me cringe.

HNMs:
We got a fafnir. A.Feet, Hrotti. Boo

We started our little static Monday. It was kind of nice to get some THF lvls. I hope we can continue on this and finish it to 75. But man the guy we picked up to fill a DD spot was complete garbage. The dude even said he had a replacement that was coming, that was a PLD. We ended up picking up a different SAM and he was good. EXP started rolling in after that.

Dynamis:
Did Sandy on Tuesday; No BRD hat, again! The saga continues.

Proto-Ultima, Crafting.

Ultima:
Did a great job on this. We changed it up a little bit and went with 2 PLDs instead of 3. That allowed me to come DRK instead of PLD. (yay!) We farmed 3 chests and still won with 20 minutes left. I cant explain how much we have improved on this fight from our 1st one to our 5th. Our first one we went with 3 PLD, didnt farm any chests and timed out with 5% left. We managed to get Nashira Legs again, and Feet to go along with it. That is our 5 Legs drop out of our 4 wins. I wish we had that luck with legs on Omega.

Crafting:
I havent crafted in Goldsmithing the past few days. I have been trying to restock some gil. I been thinking about gear upgrades before I go lvl goldsmithing again. I was thinking Mercurial Kris or Hauberk +1. I did however lvl smithing 2.4 levels. I am rather enjoying Darksteel Ingots right now. Over the last 2 stacks I have crafted I actually came out in the green. I had an amazing stretch where I got 1.4 lvls on 12 synthes.

HNM:
Man we havent got shit for claims as of late. Really sucks. My points stocking continues.

Goldsmithing 90

I dinged 90 Goldsmithing. 2 lvls away from capping on Muscle Belts. I am going to continue to push to 92.

I have sold over half my Bead stock. I am waiting for it all to sell then I can start crafting for money again.

We start our static next Monday. I hope it works out, for at least a little while. I really would like to have my THF at 75. I hope the static lasts at least till 60 so I have assasin.

We camped Faf and KB yesterday. Got a whole lot of zero claims. Today we have Dynamis, Jeuno I believe. If I dont get there early enough I may just pass so I dont have to wait to get in on Friday.


Was pretty busy with life this past weekend so I didnt get much done. So I dont have much to update.

A so-so Omega and some skill ups

We poppped Omega on Monday, was the sloppiest one since the first one I have done with the shell. Both tanks died so we decided to kill it quick and not farm the pods. So, in short, we got 2 pods, niether one was a chip and we killed it. We got Body and 2 heads. I mean seriously, we have enough Heads and Feet. Body was a great drop though.

Dynamis-

Did Dynamis Sandy Tuesday. Got 3 100 coins to drop. I was lucky to get the winning lot on one. My LS takes the coins and gives the winning lotters 200k. I also picked these up.



Now, my SAM is only 37, but I think this piece is a pretty steller piece to have if I ever chose to lvl SAM.

Einerjar-
We did a Tier 3 today. Was our 2nd try at a tier 3. We got to the boss and got him about 30% from death before we were kicked out. I think with a tad bit more experience and coordination we should be able to start being comfortable with these.

Sea-
Monday was a Sea night. Popped Temperance and Faith. No drop. Couldnt get XI'DRG to pop. Typically sucky SEA. Did I mention I hate sea with all my being? I suck it up, but I am glad we dont do it all the time.

Goldsmithing-
Dinged 89.2. After today I should have around 50k Guild Points.

I think in my future I see lots of farming. I withdrew some money from my savings account (i.e. Mule) to ding 89 and get the materials for my item that I needed to turn in for GS Veteran. I want to restock that.

I hope fafnir is back in our time zone next week, and hopefully get some more kills.

Goldsmithing Veteran

I am finally a Goldsmithing Veteran! I am sitting at 88.2 right now. I tried farming some more gold ingots this weekend, but it was over camped so I moved to somewhere else and just farmed for money.

I popped a KS99 orb on Friday. I got about 30k total. That one hurt. Some others got some pretty nice stuff. Most notably we got quite a few Adamantoise Eggs for our MNKs, which finished up thier items for thier Black Belts.

I dont think that I mentioned this in my other posts, but my old group from when I first started this game (+2 new people) started another static. I am bringing my lvl 50 THF to the table. I am pretty excited about this because I already have alot of pretty nice gear with Hecatomb and Homam gear so as I progress I will be dinging into top tier gear. I think my only big expenses will be daggers.(mainly Blau, others wont hurt too bad to pick up)

I think having a decent level THF will be pretty beneficial for me due to the amount of time I spend farming.

Doing Omega tonight. Lets wish for the best, 2 Legs and 1 Body.

Finally done with Elemental Beads

Finally I am done, seems like I been synthing them forever, but it has been relativly short in comparison to other stages. I had a decent amount of gold ingots set aside to try and push to 88 as soon as I hit 87. I fell short, but I am sitting at 87.7. .3 Away from Goldsmithing Veteran. .3 away from being able to get Fools Gold.

Also Picked up this:



Nice staple piece for DRK zerg, Spirits Within, and PLD HP Build. I imagine I will use BQR over Jelly Ring in certain instances on PLD. For now it will be one of my full time rings when I go /NIN.

Limbus
We are 1 chip away from an Ultima set and have a full Omega set. I hope we can pop the omega on Monday and get a few chips. I am currently 7th, 1 point away from 6th on the most points in my limbus shell. As of right now, that puts me 3rd in line for Homam Legs.

HNMS
We havent claimed as much as we have been, but still pretty good. I think we got 2 claims this week. Pretty sure I have accumulated enough points to target N.Head but Fafnir/Nidhogg spawns are out of when I can actually make it.

Current Goals
Now the goal is to just farm and use the gold ingots I get for skill ups. I have ALOT of beads to get rid of so that is high on the priority list so I can get a nice wad of gil again. My #1 priority though, is building up 150k Guild Points for my Fools Gold. I have 30k so far with the ability to get 6.8k tonight. I am really excited about this GP item because honestly, when I started crafting I never thought I would ever make it to the point that I am now.

85 Goldsmithing and Misc. Stuff

Been going through the normal routine of stuff. We have been kind of light on our Kings claims as of late. Been concentrating on crafting. I am currently almost broke but with 2.5 mill in beads that I am not moving very fast. I think I may take some shots at HQ staves. Currently I am 85.0 GS. I have 2 more levels on beads then to move on to Muscle Belts, which I may chill for awhile perhaps after I get 88 so I can get the Fools Gold.

I picked up Iron Ram Legs:



This will replace my Adaman Legs. It is kind of nice to get a couple PLD upgrades since I have been neglecting it. (though I really havent used it at all the past 3-4 weeks)

Really thats about it. I cant remember everything we have done, but its just the normal stuff.

Kings, 2 Lvls of Goldsmithing, and Ritter Gorget

We claimed Nidhogg and a couple Fafs this week. The spoils have been great. 1 Ridill 2 Hrottis 1 E.Body. Sounds great to me. Achzeir is our first Ridill + Ebody WAR because of the E.Body drop yesterday. N.Head is down around 90 points, perhaps I should give it a try.

Crafting:
Man I been putting out elemental beads like its my job. I am finally to the level where I hardly break any so I been doing some more profitable beads when I can. Ice Beads sell well back to AH so I been doing that for skill ups as much as possible. If I can offload the water beads I currently have I will make 10-20k profit them. My real problem is just moving the beads after they are cut. Trying to offer free bead synthing for people that need it. I did have a WWer approach me and have me synthe alot of beads for him. He actually had a GS mule that could do beads but didnt want to have to log back and forth, so I did alot of beads for him free of charge, and got 1.4 levels in the process.

Been making great gil lately. Hopefully I can keep it up. Got about 1 mil tied up in beads right now, which I think I will continually have an issue with until I hit 87 due to my inability to stop trying to skill up.

Side Note, I have competely geared up my THF. It is ready to go and EXP. Cant wait to get it to 75 and for it to become my new solo job.

I think its a nice replacement for harmonia's torque for my PLD /NIN build. Also I think the +25 HP will be welcomed on my HP build and my DRK zerg build.

Darksteel Ingots!

I was able to get my Smithing to cap out on Iron subligars, which means I can now start skilling up on Darksteel Ingots. This is pretty awesome because if I have a 75% success rate, I profit. Once I get to within cap with synthesis support, I should be able to make a decent chunk of change at 3k profit minimum per successful synthe.

Not really been up to much but crafting and farming in my free time. I decided to horde gil for awhile. My current goal is to save 100k a day. So far I have easily exceeded it.

We did a Bahamut V2 the other day, always a fun fight, got a Bahamuts Mask. Not sure what is on the slate for this week. Maintenance is probably going to bone my Limbus shell for Monday so no Omega on Thursday. I know we have 1 more Monarch orb, maybe we will do that up. I also think we may be scheduling up a Bomb Queen Ring run, which I desperately want for my DRK zerg build. We have Dynamis-Sandy on Tuesday, perhaps I will finally get my Bard Hat. That and Valor Surcoat are the only relic pieces I really want.

I still have the crafting bug. I think its starting to go away. At one point I went 0/24 on goldsmithing skill ups. I about called it quits then. I think I may take some time and lvl my smithing a little more seriously.

I got a pretty nice merit party the other day and got 10 merits in 1 party. I upgraded my Desperate Blows to full. I will tackle Last Resort Recast next.

We been claiming alot in Dragons Aery. Got another E.Body, a few more N.Heads. I think I am going to start hording my points in my HNM shell. Only items I will spend a significant amount of points on will be N.head, E.Body, Ridill, Aces Helm, Justice Torque.

Byakko Hiadate, and other goodies!

I dont know if you can see it, because the TV I play on is really old and crappy, but I got me some Byakko Hiadate. I am really stoked, this is one of the first things I did after getting them. My first big item I have recieved from my LS. I did get Osode for 80 points, but I don't really count that. Anyways, this will re-energize me on my WAR. I really would like to take it to some merits and see how I do.

Friday Night we did Dynamis-Jeuno. I picked up this:



Nice Attk piece, but Dusk Gloves really is still better. I have yet to think of a good use for them.

Thursday Night we did Proto-Omega.

The prick dropped 2 Feet. It was our 12th and 13th feet drop. We currently have about 60%-70% of the shell with feet now, and some of the people in our shell cant even equip feet. I wonder if we will ever get to the point that we can sell off our feet drops.

Not exactly a go to piece for me, but I think a situational piece for possibly my WAR. I view it as a good accuracy piece if I need it, but I am sure most of the time I will stick with Dusk. It was somewhat cheap on 30 points, so I consider it a good buy.

Crafting:

I got my leathercraft up (lol to 7) so I can start lvling my smithing. I am doing Iron Gloves now, and that allows me to skill up both my leather and smithing at the same time. It is somewhat break even on success if I NPC to the smithing guild, so I figure why not. I also managed to get .9 in Goldsmithing, but man its been a hard level. Over 40 synthes and no level yet.

King Behemoth

We got King B. the other day. I wasnt there. Drops were E.Legs, W.Head, Pixie. Apparently we synthed E.Legs and got the HQ. Another situational piece I would eventually want to have.

Einerjar
Man what a bust. Worst attempt yet on tier 2. This is the first time we havent at least killed all the regular mobs. I wont complain, I am getting very close to 15k ichor for my item. I am guessing after next week I should have enough. Though I still havent made up my mind on what I want.

Proto-Omega
We have an omega run tonight. Its my pops so thank god I will be getting inventory slots back. I am getting pretty anxious to see what drops and if I will find myself closer to being able to win legs.

80 Goldsmithing and Awesome drops

I dinged 80 Goldsmithing. I am sitting on quite a few beads that I will either be selling or trying to craft for HQ staves.

Thursday we did Ultima. We had a GREAT run. Probably the smoothest run we have had. I think maybe next time we should try farming a chest or 2 before we do Ultima.

We got Nidhogg last night!! E.Body and M.Body drops!! A very needed drop. Sirfang got the E.body and Zycipher got the M.body.

I decided today to get this today after putting a little bit of gil aside after hitting 80 GS:

Goldsmithing Goal accomplished much sooner then expected

I am now sitting at a fresh 79.4. I was 75 with intentions of getting 79-80 within the next month. Well now, I have got to 79 and even done 11 bead synthes already in just under 1 week. I was really lucky the past 2 levels getting about a 50% skill up ratio. I am really excited. The only issue right now is, I my Woodworking buddy is awol!! So right now, I am sitting on the beads.

I actually had a humbling occurance last night, where I poped 2 100k Ores in a row. I think I will stick to cheap ores for the time being, I may even finish my last .6 on bucklers since I have almost a full stack of gold ingots anyways. I am going to try and get to 82 before I start the expensive beads. I think that was a bad decision of mine.

Did Omega last night. We pulled down a Homam Body, Legs, Feet. Pretty awesome for us to get body and legs in the same night. We need mucho legs to drop! I think I can see myself 2nd or 3rd on the list most likely, possibly 4th or 5th. We will see I suppose. We did finish another set at Omega. So Thursday, we are doing Ultima, and next week we will do Omega.

Sea last night sucked. Killed Hope and Justice, no drops. Prudence was glitchy as hell was disappearring and stuff. Proabaly mainly because we tried to "wall" it. Oh well. It ended up despawning on us while still claimed, and not at spawn point. Really wierd. Was kind of pissed off last night, we didnt fight it normally even though we had more then enough people. Spent almost 2hours on that NM. Shit happens I guess.

I think I am content taking a break from Goldsmithing (read: not spending 100% of my time dedicated to skilling GS) I do still have the crafting bug, but I do not know what I will do. I was thinking about getting Smithing up, but I dont know.

DRK Skills almost done!

Since acquiring my friend Cmdrfly's account, I had been thinking of what I will do with it. One of the things was doing the Excavation Duty assault to skill up my weapons. I cant 100% do it on my own, but now I only need to find 1 person to do it with me instead of 2. So to the point. I talked my buddy Sapster into doing a couple runs at that there assault. I ended up with 15 lvls of dagger and 2 lvls of Marksmanship. Though not very much, that is all I needed to completely cap all the weapons for my DRK. One of my goals ever since dinging 75 DRK was being "all blue". I am pretty much there, with the exception of 6 lvls of Parry. I will probably not go out of my way to get that done unless I get bored but I am pretty much there.

GOLDSMITHING

I am now 77.2!!!! I am currently completely dry on materials and gil at the moment, so I am back to making money. I like doing my skilling up in big batches so I at least get 1-2 lvls so maybe I will just concentrate on making gil for the next week and try to at least hit 79. I am guessing 5 stacks of synthes will get me there. If I have the luck that I have been that should put me well on my way to 80. So I think that equals about to about 1.3mil gil worth of materials. Expensive, but very doable in the next week.

HNM - We killed fafnir on Monday. Got N.Head. I wasnt there but I dont think I could have won that lot. Sucks as soon as the HNMs got to around our time, Server Maintenance had to happen to push them back to JP time. We are farming sky tonight. Dynamis on Friday. Not sure what is in store for Saturday, perhaps Kirin if we get a couple sets put together, maybe Jailers.

Limbus - Well we have an Omega Set, 3/4 Omega Set, and 2/3 Ultima set. Alot of points are about to be spent in the next 2 weeks, especially if we happen to get another Omega pop from our current ones. I am about 13th on the list of points so I still have a little ways to go before I can get my homam legs, but hopefully once we pop these 3 I move up considerably. I really hope at least 1 legs drops the next 2 omegas since that is our big ticket item in this shell. Would also be nice to see a body drop again soon. We are due for one. I am kind of anxious to fight Ultima again. Our last one was about 2 months ago.

Lots of Goldsmithing action.

Well, I have been getting alot of GS action, its been GREAT! I am now 75.0 Goldsmithing. I am now feel like I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. I have had 2 buddies quit the game in the past week and have in the process given me alot of items to sell off. I figure I will need 2-3 mill more to get my GS to 80.0. My goal is to get at least 1.0 a week so I am wanting to say no more then 5 weeks for me to accomplish my task to get to 80.0.

Along the way, I got my Woodworking from 9-11 and Smithing from 32-36, crafting the materials I need for the Targes I need.

I havent really done much besides make money, craft, and do LS events. We had a couple Kirins and got 2 W.Legs. That will be good for the line. I need some W.Legs as well as a few others. We killed behemoth the other day. I actually claimed it. We got the tongue so that was cool.

I dont know what my shell is up to this week, but I hope we do Dynamis Sandy, I want a Bard hat!

Goldsmithing

So I have decided instead of meriting alot and such, I am going to lvl my Goldsmithing. I am rather excited about it now, since my buddy recently aquired a 100+3 Woodworking char. I will probably be trying to hit elemental bead skill up lvls as soon as I can. I got .8 the past 2 days. Pretty nice. I am not 72. I have started keeping track of my spending for this stage since its a very expensive stage, and usually the reason people stop lvling GS.

I think I am pretty close to giving up on Shrimp Lanterns for skill ups. I am going to finish out the 5 moblumin sheets I got then just worry about making gil to buy all my ingrediants. I have 7-8 lvls I need to skill up to hit bead lvl. I estimate that as 5-6 mil in cost to me.

I am actually pretty excited about this. I am anxious to get going. I have nothing to really spend gil on besides Limbus and since I am not keeping my coins for the time being its sometimes profitable. I figure I can make enough gil to do 24 synthes a week with out trying too hard. I also have tons of beastmen seals I want to use up on the PCC BCNM. Hopefully I can get this done in a couple months. At least thats my hope.

75 BRD!!!

Finally got my BRD to 75. What a relief. Only problem is im 3k tnl to 37 on my WHM. Oh well. I imagine I will get it done this week.

I picked this up the other day at Kirin for only 79 points.

It was nice I picked this up the day before I dinged 75 on BRD.

I made a decent amount of gil this week. I sold my Dusk Ledelsons when I saw that Aurum Feet was somewhat easy to get. I ended up buying a few goodies:

1.2 Mill spent 100% satisfaction.

To top it off, I got my Apollyon item for my AF+1 upgrade on BRD. Here is the item I am going to get.

Getting all these items opens alot of options on what I want to do with my free time. My DRK is pretty much finished up with buyable gear with the exception of a Hauberk +1. So I may focus not really focus on making gil for awhile. I dont know what I am going to do. I may just take some time and try and at least finish off job specific merits for my DRK.

Massive New Update

The jury is still out on the update that just happend yesterday. I spent 7 hours downloading it. Things that I am most excited about:

1. AUTO SORTING!!!
2. PLD Spell that enhances shield procs and reflects some of the dmg to the mob.
3. Einerjar!!! It got quite the buff. Requirements arent a big pain in the ass anymore and then enhanced drops. Hopefully they enhanced drop rates of the ABJ. Out of all the Einerjar I have done I have only seen 1 abj drop.
4. Getting points to pop NMs. This is still what I am curious about. It appears to be linked to Panrankin, which is full of stupid. I really hope this doesnt turn out to be as stupid as it sounds.

Well I been afk from the game alot the past few days because of issues in RL, but that seems to be wrapped up now, so maybe I will get to have fun on the game again. I did manage to exp BRD 2 times this weekend and get halfway to 73. I got into a dual BRD merit cannon one of the times to net me 20k an hr. It didnt last long but it did confirm that I can do merit parties just fine, especially now that I can wear my Errant gear. I have 47 Ancient Beastcoins and enough money to buy the rest of my Musical Earring but I have decided to just be patient and accumulate coins via Limbus.

After I get some stuff sold I am either going to buy the Cursed Gloves to uncurse my N.Hands, a Fire Bomblet, or a Foragers Mantle. I have been really lazy at making money the past 3-4 months. I think I have farmed 2-3 times.

Usually the week of an update I just farm farm farm. I do this because everyone is so excited about the update and exploring and finding out how to get the new items, that I can usually farm pretty much with no competition. Perhaps this will be a good opportunity for me to pick up a few things before I go back to laziness mode.

We are making Einerjar a priority in my HNM shell now. I think this is a great idea. There are 2 items I want from Einerjar at the moment. Ritter Gorget and Omega Ring. I also want lots of the ABJ, but mainly E.Body and N.Head.

FINALLY!!! GOOD EXP!!

I am soo happy I have been getting some good exp as of late. My past 2 parties have done 21k and 17k respectively. I am now sitting at a fresh 71 on BRD! My buddies in my social LS are going to try and form a Merit party with me leeching along the way tonight. Should be an excellent party if I can sleep the mobs half way decent, but that is what I am worried about. From what I understand everything becomes easy at 72 when I can equip errant body and legs.

I missed Limbus yesterday due to RL things so no shot at finishing up the Apollyon item I need for BRD AF+1 upgrade.

I dont think we have any big plans this weekend with the HNM shell. Maybe we may do some sky. I am coming up on 200 points starting to feel like i have a decent amount of points to work with. I am not going to win big ticket items, but I can start competing for maybe some decently wanted items.

Again not a whole lot of fun stuff.

Meh EXP on BRD

Man I have been plagued by bad parties on my BRD. All I can say is I am absolutely sick of BLUs and PLDs, let alone BLUs and PLDs in the same party w/o a RDM. I had one party where they were trying to tank with 2 BLUs. I am also sick of Caedarva Mire. Yes it is good exp when you arent counter camped to shit, but god if 5-6 parties are there and you are getting 4-5k an hr, LEAVE THAT CAMP. Seems like people are idiots now a days. I was trying for 70-71 this past weekend but only got 18k exp from 3-4 parties. It's stupid. I managed to get 8.5k solo in campaign to put me 5k tnl to 70. I will be very thankful when I get 72 can equip Errant gear and get people in my HNM shell to merit to finish my way to 75.

My LS got Niddy on Sunday. We got some N.Legs. Got another Fortitude Torque to drop yesterday. I lost bid, oh well.

Anyways, I havent had alot of goals ingame as of late, with the exception of exping BRD and showing up to all the events I can. I need to do some beastmen seal and kindred seal burning to make some money. We have 3 Kirins scheduled for Wednesday. These are the same Kirin pops we have been trying to pop for 2 weeks now. Hopefully we actually get to do it.

I know my updates have been pretty boring as of late. Hopefully some fun stuff will happen soon, but I foresee the same ol shit for the next couple weeks.

Finally we get some Homam Legs! Too bad it wasnt me.

We finally got some Homam pants to drop on yesterdays Omega. We have now got 3 since I joined this limbus group. Darth has been saving all his points since he started attending again, and the only Omega run he missed they dropped and Jaqbauer got them. The pants were an expensive 117 points. I think if everything goes as planned, I could have the 4th maybe even 3rd pair of pants from now. And when that happens, I pretty much nailed everything I want/need from Limbus with exception of 2 BRD AF+1 items.

We claimed fafnir on Wed, but we managed to cfh on it. We ended up just killing it anyways, but man it was a buzz kill.

We plan on doing 2-3 Kirins on Saturday, I just hope I can make it.

Dinged 68 BRD last night. I am going to shoot for 70-71 this weekend.

Byakko Fun!

We went up to Sky the other day to do some NQ god pops while we waited to see if we had enough for Kirin. We had 1 Seiryu, 2 Byakko, 1 Suzy. We popped our Byakko, then let another LS pop thier byakko in between our first and our last one. Well, the other LS wiped to thier Byakko, and let us take and kill it. We ended up walking away from Byakko with 2 Byakko's Hiadates. I should be 2nd or 3rd on the list now.

I dinged 35 on my WHM. I am sitting on a decent lvl on gill, so I may take some time and campaign to 36 on my WHM so that next week I can finish off WHM.

I dinged 67 on BRD, and about 4-5k tnl to 68. As I get closer and closer to 75 I am starting to get more and more excited because that means I will have more time to make gil, and I will always be able to merit whenever I want.

We are doing a few Kirins tomorrow. I think I will do a few low bids if Osode or N.Body drops, I am sure I could win either one if I went all in. I may go all out on W.Legs. I am almost certain that I will not win because a couple new people lvled PLD to 75 that have alot of points.

Random crap getting done!

I am starting to wrap a few things up. I bought me some Dusk Ledelsens, which broke me. Then I sold a few shrimp lanterns which allowed me to go back into coast mode. Pretty excited about this purchase, its one of those purchases I did not NEED, but was never the less an upgrade I wanted to make. I have been on the kick to flesh out my WAR to make it my top merit job, which really isnt hard to do. All I imediately need to do is uncurse my N.Hands and try and get Byakko's Hiadate for me to feel pretty good about my WAR equipmentwise. Then I need to merit merit merit.

I picked up 1 level on BRD. I am now 67. 3 Levels away from Muscial Earring. I currently only have 37 Ancient Beastcoins, so I need 38 more. I am getting really ansy to get my BRD to 75 so I can help my merit situation. It will be nice to have a job that I can show up to late to HNM windows and still help.

WHM: I should be 35 by the end of the week from just doing Campaign Ops. If I hit all the exp scroll quests I should be 37 in 2-3 weeks. It will be very nice to have that sub done forever. I also think its impressive that I almost have my WHM to 37 and only took 2 exp parties ever on it. Perhaps Ill finish RDM as a sub as well after I am done with WHM.

Did Proto-Omega last night. We got 2 Homam Feet..............Sooner or later we may want to end up selling feet. We have got 10 feet since I joined the shell. Our next most dropped item(s) is Head/Hands at 4. I would really like to see some Legs drop, only 2 dropped since I joined the shell. Its nice to see some of the newer people be able to lot some homam, but we have people with 140+ points waiting on Legs. Its actually pretty ridiculous.

Monday I picked up A.Legs, which after being uncursed will turn into:

Seemed like a situational BRD piece, so I went ahead and bid the minimum, and happend to get them. Kind of expensive to uncurse, so I have no intentions of doing so right away. But at least I have the Abjuration for whenever I decide I want these pants.

We are doing some more Kirin pops this Saturday. Hopefully I get to make it to these pops. I think if I get the opportunity to get a rather cheap N.Body, or Osode, Ill take it, otherwise Im going to stick to my plan of bidding my points towards N.Head/B.Hiadate/W.Legs at the moment.

BRD EXP Spree

My goal was to get 1-2 lvls on BRD last week. Well I ended up getting 5 and using my whole Anniversary ring. Besides the random event with my HNM shell, I have been almost exclusively lvling BRD. Its kind of nice that I am only 9 lvls away from dinging 75 and having another job to make my character a bit more flexible.

We did Bahamut V2 Saturday night. I won the parse my zerg setup + fortitude axe. 22%. This was the first time I got to use my zerg setup since getting all my Desperate Blows merits capped. Granted SE gimped stacked haste so I couldn't get the full effect, but it was still nice to see myself do so well.

Right now, I need to concentrate on making gil, on top of continuing to lvl BRD. With the massive drop in price of dusk gear, I think my next purchase is going to be some Dusk Ledelsons for my WAR, then I have the issue of uncursing my N.Hands. Getting those 2 things taken care of in parrallel to hopefully time allows for some more sky for more Byakko. Would love to get my pants.

Through some parsing on both DRK and WAR, I came to the conclusion that my WAR even though having no merits and in my eyes, less then desirable gear, outparses my DRK even with it only missing a handful of gear. It was kind of a bummer because I put so much time into my DRK. With that said, I am changing what I am focusing my merits on. I am going to start putting merits on my WAR. It is kind of fun since I have no merits on it, I can upgrade a few things pretty quickly.

Goldsmithing 71

I dinged 71 Goldsmithing yesterday. The last few skill ups have been few and far between but I went 3/3 last night. Pretty exciting to get 3/3 in what is known as Gold Hell. Was a very small goal I had for this month, and put alot of work into it this week. Almost all my free time was skilling up GS.

We actually claimed fafnir this week, but all we got was some A.Hands.

We got some nice Kirin drops Saturday night. 2 N.bodys 1 Osode 1 W.Legs on 2 pops. I need all 3 items, but I was not there. I think the only item I could have possibly won was osode, and I am not prepared to spend points on that atm.

Thursday we popped Omega and got Feet and Head, our 2 lowest point Homam pieces. It was our 8th Feet drop. We are running out of people that need Feet, I guess thats a good thing.

I capped rank in Campaign. I am all set to go, hoping they add some more rank in the next patch.

My goal for this upcoming week is to get BRD 1-2 lvls and get a few merits.

Really I would only use this on WAR, and since I pretty much put my WAR on hold until I get B.Hiadate, im going to wait to get it uncursed since the angel skins cost about 500k right now.

We did some sea the other night and picked up somthing I personally have never seen drop. Justice Torque! Apparently this is the first one our shell has ever got and we have tons of SAMs and DRKs. So needless to say, I bid my full points for it and it went for about double my points.

Other then that our mini gods went ok, we went 1/1 on Hiadate on Byakko which had a winning bid or 400+!! Crazy stuff. We have 2 autumnstones, just need to get despot a couple more times to have 2 more byakko pops.

We are planning on doing Ultima in my limbus shell today, hopefully my new magic dmg down set treats me well. Hopefully we get a nice kill today, a much needed thing for our limbus mages.

My HNM shell is going to pop Bahumut V2 this week. Quite excited, would love to have his Mask for my PLD, but I am pretty sure our Zycipher needs to get it first. I need to save my points for a b.hiadate anyways.

I dont know if Kings are back in our time zone or not, but I have a feeling we will be doing sky this week if not. Maybe some sea, who knows.

Busy Busy

I have been pretty busy with a bunch of shit happening at work, so I have been AFK from the game to get things squared away.

I have managed to get my BRD AF legs, Feet, and the old gauntlets for my Hands.
Dinged 55 on BRD so now I get to Ballad II it up!
Dinged 30 on WHM via exp scrolls and such.
Obtained Copper Emblem.

We claimed Adamantoise and Fafnir this week. Faf was a let down getting A.Hands and gilfinder gloves. We also claimed another faf last week, but.... it was outside party. Our party leader had blockaid up and didnt get the alliance request...so we ended up losing claim. Oh well, tough breaks some times.

I sold out of my stock pile of Shrimp lanterns so its about time to do some more Goldsmithing skilling up. With all the profit I bought a Terra's Staff. Never thought I would get both HQ staves on my BRD this early, oh well, I dont have much to spend gil on atm, especially because I dont seem to be on WAR or DRK much these days.

My buddy Sapster and I are going to try and exp quite a bit to push my BRD and his NIN above 60 here soon. Then who knows, I may exp whore to 75. Only thing I am missing gear-wise is opo-opo crown, Loquacious Earring, and Musical Earring. I decided I am going to get at least 1 of the earrings via points in my Limbus shell before I decide to go after Homam Legs.

I think I have finally came to terms with the fact that my HNM shell will prolly phase out me coming as DRK anymore to events when my BRD gets of age. I suppose I will be cool with only coming PLD or BRD. I think once my BRD gets 75 I will start working on my neglected WAR. Its haste build is still a bit lacking. I been kind of waiting on enough points for B.Hiadate to flush out the rest of my WAR but we havent done sky in a month. I am sure we will again once HNM times go to shit again, but who knows.

All that said, I am also thinking of putting all my job upgrades on cruise control and try and push my Goldsmithing to Bead skill up level. I think it will take me 4-5 months to do that if I dont try to do any equip upgrades.

Thursday I picked up this beauty!



I am pretty much out of points now in my limbus LS. So I am now missing Legs and Head.

I got several lvls on BRD and WHM. My BRD is now 53, almost 54. I was able to ding 29 on WHM so im staying away from the gimp SJ.

I have been struggling getting BRD coffer keys, I have spent 6-7 hrs trying to get my castle Z. one.

Trying to remember what else I have done since the last time I posted, and I am drawing a blank. Busy week in RL.

Lots of stuff!

The biggest things I guess was I got BRD 7 lvls this week. I am now 51! I bought an Apollos's Staff so that is exciting. I did manage to get my WHM to 26. But now it appears I may have to exp it before I can continue on the BRD.

Thursday we did 3 Limbus zones with 22 people. We actually pulled off a chip in all 3 zones. I think its pretty awesome our group can farm 3/4 an omega pop set in 1 day, with only 22 people.

Other then that, I did a few random things with my shell, Sea, etc. I missed alot this week due to being overly busy.

Weekend Wrap-up

Finally finished up KS99 orbs for now, on Saturday. Had a short crew on Monday for limbus so we only did 1 zone. We also did sea on Monday. We spent about 3hrs trying to get xi'drk to pop, and we finally did when we were about to go off and do other things. We popped Fortitude, and got torque! I didnt bid on it, but it went for absurdly low, 56 points. Maybe I should have took the opportunity to bid, but oh well. We also had a no drop off 2 HQ organs on xi'mnk, I did however get this:

I got a few random things done as well. I got WHM 2 lvls via exp scrolls and campaign opps. Got BRD to 44, and managed to pick up .2 in Goldsmithing.

Homam Hands!

The most notable thing is I picked up some Homam last night. We ended up doing Omega a bit different then we normally do due to a couple things.

1. We only had 1 RDM for CS --> Stun

2. Our 2nd WHM DCed before we entered.

So really, we only had 1 WHM and 1 RDM. So pretty much, we didnt farm pods for chips, but we got lucky and only had 1 pod, and it dropped a Charcoal Chip. Great drops though, we got our 3 drops of our most expensive pieces pointwise. Body, Legs, Hands.

KS99, Wyrm, ass beating last night, but absolute shit drops. Biggest drop we had was Sirens Hair and we got no black belt items.

Dinged 42 on BRD.

Long Night

Well, last night, was long and interesting. Monday's I normally do Limbus and then we have some sort of LS event in the evening.

I was expecting an Omega run, but it got pushed back. We ended up doing some Temenos. We did 1st floor and Elementals. We had a single party TP burn type setup for eles and 2 parties for 1st floor. I was in the ele party, and was the only stun. Got through the first floor flawlessly, but I made a mistake on the 2nd floor. We popped an item chest and it was an avatar, and ill be damned if as soon as I begin to WS it 2hred, wiping us with everyone being too close to reraise up. We still got our chip from the 1st floor group, but its a bit disheartening when you wipe, I hate it actually.

I ended up doing sea with my HNM shell later that night. We started out with a Fortitude pop. No drop. Then we did did a Faith, and got the torque to drop. We then popped Xi'DRG. Almost full wipe. We ended up recovering and killing it. We got the cape to drop, but no deed. Then we did our last fight of the evening, Jailer of Justice. We wiped 3 times to this guy. We had somone sac it for awhile to keep it up. I dont know if it can be low manned. We just need to make sure we have the meat before we do this again so we dont waste anymore pop sets. Total time spent in sea- 8:30EST-->2:30EST. I was hoping for a short night so I could go to bed early, but so much for that.

So besides a few high points, my night was pretty much full of suck.

A little progress..

Well I have had alot of free time on my hands due to HNM ToD being out of our normal peak times. I pretty much only did KS99 last week. I did however manage to ding 70 Goldsmithing. I got a lucky 5/6 on skill ups on my last 6 synthes. I am now able to make my own flaxseed oil, got my Clothcraft to 12.

I did lots of seeking on BRD, I even had a span of seeking for 7 hours w/o an invite. And there I thought BRD was a quick one. Oh well, I still managed to pick up 4 lvls this past week. Its starting to look like I will need to exp my WHM here soon so I can not have a gimp sub job.

If we have enough people show up tonight, we should be hitting up Omega. I am excited because I have enough points to win a bid. So hopefully I get to walk away with somthing.

The Start of the Blog!

I got bored and decided I would create a blog. It will give me somthing to do while camping so I figure what the hell.



Background: I have played this game on and off since APR of 2004. Done alot of things, had alot of fun, and met alot of interesting people. DRK is my baby, I love my DRK. Pretty much 90% of what I try and get done in this game is to enhance my DRK. I tend to play PLD quite a bit too.



I play on PS2 and XBOX360, so I wont have any cool pictures, but I will try and put some on here.



I recently joined an HNM/Everything shell. Been having alot of fun, been doing different things every night.



I wasnt able to do much the past weekend, but I did manage to get on for our 2 Kirins where we only got Money drops, 1 Dbody, 1 Osode, 1 Pole. Pretty meh considering most people need/want W.Legs and N.body.



I did manage to get my BRD to lvl 37 this weekend.
